Although there was some initial frustration with the price hike, Nikita and Michael P stepped in and handled it with great professionalism. They respected my 15-year loyalty by restoring the previous price level and provided a much more efficient refund/upgrade process. It’s this kind of proactive support that keeps a long-term customer staying. Great experience in the end! ------------------------------------------------------ Decent product, but deceptive and aggressive pricing tactics. I have been a loyal customer of one.com for over 10 years, and while the technical quality of their hosting and domain services is perfectly fine, their marketing and pricing strategy has become deeply disappointing. Their business model seems to rely on "luring" customers in with low entry prices, only to impose massive annual price hikes under the guise of "system upgrades" or "security enhancements." As a long-term user since 2012, I used to be able to negotiate a fair rate, but as of 2026, they have completely stopped offering discounts to loyal customers. The numbers speak for themselves: 2012: €70.80 (Hosting + .de domain), 2026: €175.30 Average Increase: ~8% every single year. Compared to other hosting providers in Germany that maintain stable pricing, one.com’s strategy is unsustainable and feels like a "loyalty tax." My advice to new users: Do not be tempted by the cheap initial offer. You will eventually end up paying far more than the market average. I can no longer recommend one.com. It is simply not worth the long-term cost.”
