Good News for PHP Users: Safe Mode Off

It is a pleasure to announce to all our technically interested users that all One.com's web servers are now running with safe mode off. This means that our many PHP users will now get even greater flexibility on their web space and they can make use of a range of exciting features that have not been possible before.

It is essential to us at One.com that our security is top of the line. To make sure that only legitimate scripts are executed on our customers' web spaces, we have enabled open_basedir while safe mode was turned off. This solution enables us to offer as much of PHP's functionality as possible while at the same time giving safety high priority.
