Setting up Outlook 2016/13 on Windows with EAS

Step 1 - Click File
Step 2 - Click + Add account
Step 3 - Select manual setup
Step 4 - Select Exchange ActiveSync
Step 5 - Enter your account settings
Step 6 - Click Close
Step 7 - You're all set!

Follow this guide to set up Outlook 2016/13 on Windows with Exchange ActiveSync (EAS). The advantage of EAS over IMAP is that it also syncs your calendar and contacts. If you would rather use IMAP, check the guide below.

Setting up Microsoft Outlook 2016 with IMAP

Only your default calendar is synced. If you want to sync additional calendars, you can do this with CalDAV.

Step 1 - Click File

Open Outlook and click File in the upper right corner.

Step 2 - Click + Add account

Click + Add account to start setup.

Click the Add account button

Step 3 - Select manual setup

Select Manual setup or additional server types and click Next to continue.

Step 4 - Select Exchange ActiveSync

Select Exchange ActiveSync and click Next.

Step 5 - Enter your account settings

Enter your account details:

  • Mail server: m.one.com
  • User name: your email account

Click Next to continue.

Step 6 - Click Close

Outlook will now try to log in with the details you just entered. If everything is correct the task will be completed. Click Close to continue.

Tip: If Outlook is unable to log in, try our EAS troubleshoot guide to find out what is wrong.
Your account settings are tested, click close to continue

Step 7 - You're all set!

Your account is now set up. Click Finish to see your inbox, or click Add another account if you want to set up another email account.

Note: Outlook will now sync your inbox with the server. If you have a lot of emails, it may take a while.
You are all set! Click finish to close setup
