How do I transfer my .fr/.re/.yt/.pm/.wf/.tf domain?

Before you start a transfer, it is important to make sure that the current registration details are up-to-date.

1. Check the registration details of your domain

Check the registration details for your domain. If needed, contact your current hosting provider and ask them to update your details. A transfer code (Auth id), needed to transfer your domain, will be sent to the registered email address.

Tip: You can check the current status of your .fr domain on is the registry for .fr domains.

2. Place an order on our website

Enter your domain in the top right corner on our website. On the next page, click "Yes, this is my domain" and complete the order procedure.

Tip: The email address that you enter under Customer details will be your contact address, so we advise you to use an address that is not linked to your domain. This way we can also reach you in case of problems during the transfer.

3. Confirm the transfer

After you have completed your order, we will send you a confirmation via email. In this confirmation you will find a link to the invoice and a link to "Transfer your domain". Here you can enter the transfer code to confirm your transfer. You can also give us the transfer code via the online chat support or via email.

4. Your current hosting provider approves the transfer

Finally your current hosting provider needs to approve the transfer.

  • After approval, the domain will be transferred to within 24-48 hours.
  • If your provider does nothing, it will be transferred to within 5 days.
  • If your provider rejects the transfer, the domain will be transferred to within 22 days.

Reason a transfer might fail: Expiration or redemption

If a domain already has expired or is in "redemption", it is not possible to transfer the domain. Please contact your current hosting provider for more information about the possibilities to reactivate the domain. You can check the status of the domain in the Whois database.
