Group Your Gallery Users Together
New feature lets you form user groups for easy management of user rights
From now on it will be easier to manage the access rights for your albums and pictures in One.com's Photo Gallery.
We are introducing the opportunity for you to collect gallery users into groups and in a simple and clear way assign privileges to the groups.
The three groups "Friends", "Family" and "Coworkers" will be created by default and they may of course be renamed if you want to. Additionally, you can create and name your own groups. If you for example have created an album for your holiday pictures, you can with just a few clicks give the groups "Friends" and "Family" but not "Coworkers" access to watch the pictures and leave comments in the album.
It is also possible to give a user the status of a "Super user" with all rights. This corresponds to a "Gallery administrator".

Give Your Visitors Flexible Access to Your Photos
Photo Gallery - Settings for Individual Photos
Photo Gallery lets you decide who should be able to see your photos. We have now enhanced the flexibility so not just whole albums can be private or public.
You can now set the access for each individual photo exactly as you like, so that some photos in an album are visible to everybody, while others may be private. The album might also contain hidden photos that only you are able to see.
You will find the feature when you are logged into the gallery and choose to upload a new album or edit an existing album as shown on the image:

We have now made it even easier for you to spread the content of your blog and your galleries on a selection of the Internet's most popular websites.
You can now share content directly on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and MySpace. All you need to do is to click the share button which is located next to every single blog post and photo album.
Embedding or sharing the content of your blog or gallery will not change your data. Text and images will remain safe and secure on One.com's servers, and you maintain all rights and full control over your data.

Managing Your Pictures Should be Easy
Photo Gallery - Photo Organizing the Easy Way
We have made it easier for you to organize your pictures in Photo Gallery.
You can now easily move and copy photos between different albums. This feature is useful if you e.g. have uploaded all your photos from your last summer vacation, but want to restrict access to some of these pictures to your friends and family.
When you are logged into the gallery, choose "Organize" in the "User Functions" menu. Then select the pictures and move them to another album that you only give your friends and family access to.

Let Your Pictures Reach New Audiences
Embedding of Photo and Video in Blogs and Webpages
From now on you don't have to settle for displaying your pictures in Photo Gallery on your web space.
You can now insert your photo albums into other websites too, into your own blog or elsewhere. To embed an album means to display an album on a location outside the gallery itself by means of an embed code.
Embedding is known from e.g. YouTube, from which a video can be inserted into a blog or a website. Now you can do the same with your photos. On the link below you'll find an example on embedding of an album located on the address www.webman.biz :
It's easy to embed an album. All you need to do is to copy the embed code from the gallery and insert it into your blog or in your website, wherever you want to show the album.
In the blog system from One.com you just click the new video icon, and then the embed code can be inserted.

WebCreator now with Photo and Video Embedding
WebCreator now supports embedding. When building a website with WebCreator, you can insert video and photo galleries into your pages. With just a few clicks you can integrate albums from Photo Gallery or videos from YouTube and the like.
Just click "Insert" in the WebCreator menu to access the new feature. Here is an example of an embedded album from Photo Gallery:

We have just expanded our range of top level domains available for registration at One.com. The new top level domains are: .mobi .cn .in .at .cz .ch and .li. These domains have no restrictions imposed upon them and can therefore be registered by anyone both public and corporate.

New webmail - After three years of intensive development One.com is now launching a completely new webmail. The new webmail offers an interface which is usually restricted to applications such as Outlook and Thunderbird. Speed and usability have been prioritized highly in this development and thus the new webmail is supported in both Inter Explorer and Firefox browsers. Support for the Macintosh browser Safari will be implemented at a later point.
Currently the new webmail is only available to new customers. The reasoning for this is that at this point it does not offer calendar support which some customers use today.
The calendar feature is being implemented and will be available during 2008 after which all customers will be given access to the new webmail.
Should you already at this point want to use the new webmail even though it is not yet fully featured you are welcome to contact our chat support 24/7 at www.one.com and they will then upgrade your web space to make use of the new webmail.

Increased security - We have recently expanded our back-up procedures so that our customers receive an even higher degree of security for their data on our servers. As of today One.com will maintain a daily remote backup of all our systems.
The new back-up server room is located 10km from our main server room. The two server rooms are linked through a private and dedicated 10 Gbit fiber connection which ensures a fast, reliable and secure backup of both the systems and all customer data.

One.com has just released a new blog system, which is available to all our customers. The system allows you to create blogs on your own domain, with just a few clicks. It requires neither technical knowledge nor any programming - everyone can do this!

B-one changes name to One.com with the following internet address www.one.com .
The changing of the name comes as a result of our further expansion into new markets. Our new name is easier to spell, easier to remember and is in accordance with our mission: To be the best web space-provider.
www.b-one.net will in the future be forwarding to www.one.com . All existing web addresses will therefore work as usual, and the name change won't have any technical affect on your web space.

All our customers now have access to their own DNS administration tools on the web spaces. With DNS administration you can direct your domain or subdomain to any webserver or mailserver you want. Additionally webforward- and webalias-functions are part of our new DNS system too, which makes DNS simpler to use.
With this function we offer our slightly more advanced users even more flexibility with their web space at One.com. DNS administration is accessible through your control panel.
