Google changes its search-ranking algorithm again
Recently, Google made additions to its algorithm that produces search rankings for its engine. This new change will list several results from same website domains. Samarth Keshava, a software engineer for Google, stated in a blog that this change will allow web searchers access to more relevant results.
"For queries that indicate a strong user interest in a particular domain ... we'll now show more results from the relevant site," the blog post relayed.
"We're always reassessing our ranking and user interface, making hundreds of changes each year. We expect [the] improvement will help users find deeper results from a single site, while still providing diversity on the results page," said Keshava.
In the past, Google had limited the number of results produced from the same domain in order to display diverse results from its engine.
The search engine giant has made several changes to its search algorithm recently, which has stressed the importance of search engine optimization. Webmasters will now need to adjust their SEO tactics to target these latest changes and potentially produce better page rankings for individual pages.
