Using 1-click WordPress with One.com

1-click WordPress is an easy way to get WordPress installed on your web space with One.com. Make the installation directly in your Control Panel, and be ready to post on your WordPress web site in no time.

Accessing the 1-click WordPress

You can access the 1-click WordPress installation from your browser.

  1. Go to our web site, www.one.com.
  2. Click Control Panel
  3. Enter your domain and password
  4. Click Log on
  5. Click WordPress

Adding a 1-click WordPress installation

After you have logged into your control panel, and opened the WordPress section, you are ready to start your installation:

  1. Click New Installation.
  2. Click new installation to install 1-click WordPress
  3. Enter a title for your blog.
  4. Select language and location for your blog. By default, the blog will placed directly on the root of your domain, but you can also place it under a sub domain.

Next, you create an administrator for your WordPress installation. This administrator profile is used to login to the WordPress-part of your blog.

  1. Enter a username, e-mail address and password for the administrator.
  2. Click Install

Making your first post with WordPress

Now everything is ready for you to make your first post with your WordPress installation.

To make a post, just log on the WordPress part of your web site:

  1. In the WordPress section of your One.com Control Panel, click WP admin.
  2. Click ´Wp Admin´ to log on to WordPress
  3. Enter the username and password for the WordPress administrator you just created.
  4. Click Log In.
  5. Log on WordPress.
  6. Once logged into WordPress, go to Dashboard
  7. Under QuickPress, write a title and add content for your first post.
  8. Click Publish.
  9. Write your first post with WordPress.

Removing 1-click WordPress

  1. Log on to your One.com Control Panel, and click WordPress.
  2. Click Edit/Show info, next to the name of the WordPress installation you want to remove.
  3. Click edit show info to access delete option for WordPress.
  4. Click Delete blog.
  5. Enter the password for your One.com Control Panel.
  6. Click delete blog to remove WordPress.
  7. Click Delete.
Confirm deleting WordPress.

Note: Removing the 1-click WordPress installation, will also delete all content on your WordPress site.

Restoring your 1-click WordPress

You can restore your 1-click WordPress installation:

  1. Log on to your One.com Control Panel.
  2. Click WordPress.
  3. Click Restore, next to the name of the WordPress installation you want to restore.

Editing your 1-click WordPress

You can update language, administrator e-mail and password for an existing 1-click WordPress installation through your One.com Control Panel.

  1. Log on to your One.com Control Panel, and click WordPress.
  2. Click Edit/show info, next to the name of the WordPress installation you want to edit.
  3. Click ´Edit/show info´ to change WordPress.
  4. Click Update, next to the info you want to edit.
  5. Enter the new info.
  6. Click Update again to confirm the changes.
