How do I transfer my .es domain to One.com?

Before you start a transfer, it is important to make sure that the current registration details are up-to-date.

1. Check the registration details of your domain

Check the registration details for your domain. If needed, contact your current hosting provider and ask them to update your details. A link to confirm the transfer will be sent to the registered email address.

Tip: You can check the current status of your .es domain on www.nic.es. Nic.es is the registry for .es domains.

2. Place an order on our website

Enter your domain in the top right corner on our website. On the next page, click "Yes, this is my domain" and complete the order procedure. After you have completed your order, we will send you a confirmation via email.

Tip: The email address that you enter under Customer details will be your contact address, so we advise you to use an address that is not linked to your domain. This way we can also reach you in case of problems during the transfer.

3. Confirm the transfer

After you have activated your order, NIC.es will send an email to the domain name owner (Admin-C) with a link to confirm the transfer. You need to approve the transfer within 10 working days, or it will fail.

Tip: Check your spam folder, if you don’t receive the email from Nic.es.

Reason a transfer might fail: Your domain expires within 15 days

If the expiration date of your domain is within 15 days, it’s not possible to transfer it. You will first need to renew the domain with your current hosting provider, after which you can transfer it again.
