How do I access Cloud Drive on my Mac?
You can access your Cloud Drive on mac with WebDAV or directly through your browser using our Web File Manager, in addition to our Cloud Drive Apps for your mobile. WebDAV can be used in several ways on your mac, as presented further down. You can find more information about WebDAV here.
We are working on our own solution for the OS X platform, and are planning to release the Cloud Drive application for Mac in 2012.
Alternative 1:
Mac OS X also has a built in Connect to server command which can be used to access your Cloud Drive with WebDAV. This option will mount your Cloud Drive as an external drive that can be accessed through the Finder.
- Go to the Finder.
- Select Go and then Connect to Server...
- Type the address for your Cloud Drive in the Server Address field, and click Connect.
The address for your Cloud Drive should be like this:
https://cloud-drive-name.clouddrive.example.com
where you replace cloud-drive-name with the name of your own Cloud Drive and example.com with your domain hosted with One.com.
Remember to connect with a secure connection and write "https://" in front of the address to your Cloud Drive. - Choose to connect as Registered User, and in the Name: field you write the e-mail address for your Cloud Drive user and in the Password: field your password for this user.
- In the Verify Certificate dialogue box that appears click on Continue
- Connecting to your Cloud Drive might take a while, depending on your internet-connection.
- Your Cloud Drive will now be mounted as an external drive, and can be accessed by clicking on the name of your Cloud Drive under Shared directly in the Finder.
Alternative 2:
- You can also access your Cloud Drive by writing the following address in your browser (and replace cloud-drive-name with the name of your own Cloud Drive and example.com with your domain hosted with One.com):
https://cloud-drive-name.clouddrive.example.com
Remember to connect with a secure connection and write "https://" in front of the address to your Cloud Drive. The loading of your Cloud Drive might take a while, depending on the speed of your internet connection. - Your browser might warn you that it cannot confirm the identity of the Cloud Drive you are trying to access, but just click Continue (this information may vary among different browsers)
- To access your Cloud Drive, you will be asked for your login information, which consists of the e-mail address and the password for your Cloud Drive user.
- After a successful login, the browser will present an "index"-page with all the files and folders on your Cloud Drive.
Alternative 3:
Another alternative is to use an application with built-in support for WebDAV. One example of such an application is Cyberduck, which you can download for free at http://cyberduck.ch/
- Open Cyberduck and click on Open Connection
- Select WebDAV (HTTP/SSL) in the dropdown menu
- Make sure that Anonymous Login is unchecked
- Write the username (the mail address for your Cloud Drive user) and the password for your Cloud Drive
- In the Server field type the address for your Cloud Drive like this:
cloud-drive-name.clouddrive.example.com
where you replace cloud-drive-name with the name of your own Cloud Drive and example.com with your domain hosted with One.com.
( Cyberduck should automatically add "https://" in front of the address to your Cloud Drive as presented in the path below the server field.) - In the dialogue box that appears click on Continue, and you will be connected to your Cloud Drive.
