Alternative 3

Alternative 1:

Mac OS X also has a built in Connect to server command which can be used to access Bix with WebDAV. This option will mount your drive as an external drive that can be accessed through the Finder.

  1. Go to the Finder.
  2. Select Go and then Connect to Server...
  3. Type the address for your drive in the Server Address field, and click Connect.
The address for your drive should be like this:

    https://drive-name.clouddrive.example.com
where you replace drive-name with the name of your own drive and example.com with your domain hosted with One.com.
Remember to connect with a secure connection and write https:// in front of the address to your drive.
  4. Choose to connect as Registered User, and in the Name: field you write the email address for your Bix user and in the Password: field your password for this user.
  5. In the Verify Certificate dialogue box that appears click on Continue
  6. Connecting to your drive might take a while, depending on your internet-connection.
  7. Your drive will now be mounted as an external drive, and can be accessed by clicking on the name of your drive under Shared directly in the Finder.

Alternative 2:

  1. You can also access your drive by writing the following address in your browser (and replace drive-name with the name of your own drive and example.com with your domain hosted with One.com):

    https://drive-name.clouddrive.example.com
Remember to connect with a secure connection and write https:// in front of the address to your drive. The loading of your drive might take a while, depending on the speed of your internet connection.
  2. Your browser might warn you that it cannot confirm the identity of the drive you are trying to access, but just click Continue (this information may vary among different browsers)
  3. To access your drive, you will be asked for your login information, which consists of the email address and the password for your Bix user.
  4. After a successful login, the browser will present an index-page with all the files and folders on your drive.

Alternative 3:

Another alternative is to use an application with built-in support for WebDAV. One example of such an application is Cyberduck, which you can download for free at http://cyberduck.ch/

  1. Open Cyberduck and click on Open Connection
  2. Select WebDAV (HTTP/SSL) in the dropdown menu
  3. Make sure that Anonymous Login is unchecked
  4. Write the username (the mail address for your Bix user) and the password for your drive
  5. In the Server field type the address for your drive like this:

    drive-name.clouddrive.example.com
where you replace drive-name with the name of your own drive and example.com with your domain hosted with One.com.
( Cyberduck should automatically add https:// in front of the address to your drive as presented in the path below the server field.)

  6. In the dialogue box that appears click on Continue, and you will be connected to your drive.
