Bloomberg: Iceland Woos Microsoft for Part of Data Market
On the southwestern tip of Iceland, housed in a former NATO air command base, a new data center is waiting to host the world’s information. Iceland may still be too remote to become a true data hub, according to Copenhagen-based Web-hosting company One.com. The location would be useful for back-up data rather than live traffic as needed on a trading floor, Chief Operating Officer Thomas Darré Medard Frederiksen said.
Saucy snaps at risk as embarrassed users shun safe backup
One in 10 people don’t make safe and secure copies of photos taken on their digital cameras as they are too saucy and want to reduce the risk of other people seeing them, according to a new survey. A further one in 12 is failing to back up photossnapped on their mobile phone because they fear they might go viral.

The tycoon had been in dispute with Australian Sean Truman, who registered the domain name last year.
Thomas Frederiksen, chief operating officer at UK web hosting company One.com, warned that the .xxx domain could cause serious problems for businesses.
