What is a web space?

A web space is the place on the Internet, where your home page and email accounts are placed. For others to be able to send you emails or visit your home page, you need a web space. In other words, it is your web space that keeps your domain running.

With a web space at One.com all co-workers, family members or club members can get their own unique email address. There is no limit to the amount of email addresses that can be created.

Do I own the domain and can I move the domain to a different provider?

To have ones own domain is to own ones own place on the Internet. When we register a domain for you, you can keep your email and home page address, as long as you wish, because we register the domain in your name. Should you later change to a different web host provider, you are free to take your domain with you.

How is it possible that you can offer unlimited traffic?

Our unique set-up gives us the possibility to offer our customers unlimited traffic on their web space. Many of our competitors would say that this is impossible. Nonetheless have we since 2002 delivered this service to our customers. Today we have customers who have more than 25 million hits and more than 1000 GB traffic per month.

However we do not offer the possibility for our customer to have their download-site hosted with us. A download-site is a site, where each single hit generates more than 1 MB of traffic.

What language does your support speak?

If you wish to communicate with us in different languages, we also offer support in French, German, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish.

How do I pay?

Our primary way of payment is online payment through the use of credit cards such as VISA and MasterCard.

For our customers in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Denmark, Sweden and Norway we also offer our customers offline payment methods on the shape of a normal bank transfer for example.

Should you pay with an offline payment method it usually takes a bit longer before your web space is available. You can read more on this under the heading "How fast can you have my web space active, if I order now?"

Is it safe to pay with a credit card over the Internet with you?

Yes, it is very safe.

An online-payment with a credit card with us is done through a secure 128 bit encrypted connection. We do not save and keep your credit card details, which means it will never be possible to recreate the details you have entered during the order. This procedure is used to protect our customers and to avoid being a popular goal for hackers or other unwanted guests.

How fast can you have my web space active, if I order now?

Most orders that are paid by credit card will be processed immediately.

In some instances we will ask you for a signed domain form anyway, even if you have chosen an online payment method. This can be the result of problems with verification of your payment and a perfectly normal safety measure. Sometimes it is even a requirement that we have a signature from the owner of the new domain, before we can be allowed to register the domain. Being asked to sign a domain form doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong with your credit card.

What package should I choose?

We offer 8 different packages. The difference between them is only the amount of disk space that we offer you. If you are in doubt on your needs, we will for starters always advise you to choose the smallest package. This package covers the needs of most and is a good place to start from.

If you should need more disk space, you can easily upgrade your package. You can do this through our Control Panel and you only pay for the difference in price between your current package and the package you wish to upgrade to.

How stable are your systems?

In spite of the competitive price, the technical quality has never been compromised. We only use suppliers that can show a quality stamp and have exhaustive backup-systems. Servers, server rooms and the bandwidth are monitored around the clock, 365 days a year.

All servers are of the best Hewlett-Packard quality with redundant power supplies, mirrored SCSI disks with daily external backup. The systems are placed in a private server room at Interxion in Denmark. The server room has redundant power circuits, battery backup, diesel generators and a Vesda (Very Early Smoke Detection Alarm) smoke alarm system.

Our backbone is fibre-based with redundant infrastructure. The total bandwidth is at present 2x2 Gigabit multi-homed attached and connected to 3 international carriers; Global Crossing, Deutsche Telecom and Level3, in addition to Danish Internet eXchange.

Will I get my money back, if I am not happy?

In case you aren’t completely satisfied with our services, we offer a 15-day money back guarantee. The guarantee is valid from the day the order is made on our website and covers all customers, regardless of the cause.

We can offer that service, because we know that our product covers by far the expectations of most people of a web hosting. Should this not be the case for you, we will gladly pay you back your money.
